Current Line Models

Big Traction Cars	Interurban passenger cars and freight motors used big trucks with 33" or 36" wheels. For model cars the most commonly used trucks have 36" wheels with 20:1 gears.
The Lightweights	In this category are interurban, suburban, and city cars. These trucks are used mainly for passenger service but occasionally for freight and work equipment, especially in later years.
City Cars	This category includes two-motor trucks, one-motor maximum traction trucks, and trucks for four-wheel cars.
Elevated Cars	These trucks were used by interurban and elevated cars that operated over Chicago's elevated railways. The trucks include non-operational third rail beams.
Freight	Some trucks intended for passenger cars ended up on freight or service equipment. This category also includes McGuire snow sweeper pedestals and trucks that are suitable for early diesels, gas-electrics, and motor cars.

Our standard CLL power truck sets are built with powerful and dependable Johnson 12VDC motors. Nearly any truck can be custom built with any wheel size and gear ratio. We furnish wheels for our trucks in the following sizes:

Since we cut our own wheels, custom sizes are also available. We also make our own axles, gears, pulleys, and spring belts, so we offer you much more than our competitors. Gears are available in 15:1, 18:1, 20:1, and 22:1 ratios, the latter being the slowest.

2 Rail (Both wheels insulated to pick up power from track) - $7.50 per set

3rd rail beams and wheel guards - $7.50 per set

Trucks with extra detail castings - $7.50 per set

33" and 36" spoke wheels (not available for 2 Rail) add $24.50 per set.

We designed our CLL trucks using principles and tooling originally developed by the Wagner Car Company. Our CLL trucks are very much improved over the original designs offered by Wagner. Nevertheless, some of our customers prefer to restore vintage traction models with original Wagner trucks. When we purchased Wagner years ago, we obtained the open-frame motors and parts to build DC71, DC60, and "INCH" trucks by special order. These are priced at $105.00 for a power and trailer truck set.
